Teachers hand out pizzas to students during snow day

For some Shelby County, Kentucky students – a snow day did not mean they didn’t see their teachers.

Shelby West Middle School teachers were still required to go into work while the students enjoyed a day off.

As they arrived at school, they remembered not every student would enjoy the day away from a free meal and a warm building.

The teachers decided to practice what they teach by working together to support students in need.

Out of their own pocket, and with some help from Facebook, the teachers started knocking on doors to deliver pizzas, sandwiches, drinks, and snacks to 50 students.
