Tecumseh softball hopes to continue post season success

TECUMSEH, Ind (WEHT) – Tecumseh softball is no stranger to success in the post season. In fact, the Lady Braves have won 16 straight sectional titles.

The Lady Braves won the Class A State Title back in 2017 and have continued to have success. Tecumseh will play in Class 2A in this year’s state tournament because of that success, a task they know will be even more difficult to accomplish.

“We’ve won 16 straight sectionals so yea we have some pressure because there’s a target on our backs,” said head coach Gordon Wood. “We just have to get better every day, every practice, every game, and then hopefully the postseason will take care of itself.

Tecumseh, the top-ranked 2A team in the state, sits at 20-3 on the season. One of their only losses came at the hands of North Posey, the same team they will meet first when sectional play begins on Monday.
