Teen hit by car in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A 13 year-old girl is okay after being hit by a car in Evansville.

It happened around Noon on Lincoln Avenue.

Evansville police officers say the girl ran across Lincoln toward Rochelle-Landers pool when she was hit.

Officers say she didn’t look both ways.

The driver was taken to the hospital for testing, which is protocol.

Police don’t expect to file charges.

The girl had cuts on her legs, but officers expect her to be okay.
