A large crowd  gathered  tonight in downtown Owensboro to welcome in the holiday season.

The annual Owensboro Christmas Parade wrapped up around 6 o’clock Saturday night.
This year’s parade theme was “Our Christmas Wish.”
Miss Kentucky served as the parade’s grand marshal.
Eyewitness News’ Jake Boswell meteorologists Wayne Hart and Stacey May were at the parade.
20 floats made their way through  downtown Owensboro.
A lot of float  designers assembled their floats with co-workers or teammates.

“It’s a sense of community, we came together as a team at OMU, and we like to represent the company well and I think we’ve done that,” OMU float assembler Ernie Coons told Eyewitness News.

“It’s a great community event, I get out here and I see people that I haven’t seen in five to ten years, so it’s a great way for the community to come together,” said OMU float assembler Brad Cozart.
The Owensboro Christmas Parade is the largest parade in the Tri-State.
