Three people are under arrest after an investigation turns up nearly 17 pounds of synthetic drugs.
Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, Madisonville Police Department, and Kentucky State Police narcotics detectives say they have been investigating an increase of synthetic drug cases in Hopkins County over the last year.
While acting on a search warrant in Nebo and Madisonville Tuesday night, detectives say they found about 17 pounds of synthetic drugs, paraphernalia, cash, and evidence used to make synthetic drugs.
Authorities tell us Josh Betar, Thomas Shelton, Amber Babbs were arrested in the case. Betar and Shelton were charged with drug trafficking. Babbs was charged with controlled substance endangerment. Shelton was charged with controlled substance endangerment.
