Three Incoming Ivy Tech Students Receive Presidential Scholarship

Three young women attending Ivy Tech Community College this fall are the first incoming freshmen to receive Ivy Tech’s Presidential Scholarship, which covers all tuition and fees at the college.

The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school seniors applying to Ivy Tech who are planning to pursue a four-year degree at one of Indiana’s public universities. They must be majoring in nursing, engineering, business administration, elementary education, human services, criminal justice, informatics, or computer science.

Ivy Tech Chancellor Jonathan Weinzapfel says, “We are pleased to be able to offer this scholarship to these outstanding students.”

The recipients include Kayla Reeves of Tell City Junior/Senior High School, Emily Nellis of Evansville Central High School, and Amy Hart of Gibson Southern High School.

Kayla is pursuing business administration, Emily is pursuing nursing, and Amy is pursuing education.
