Monday is Tax Day.
For most Americans, the deadline to file your 2018 tax returns is Monday at midnight.
However, there are a couple of exceptions.
Those who live in Maine and Massachusetts get an extra day to file, due to their Patriot’s Day holiday.
But for everyone else, the paperwork is due Monday night.
The IRS says as many as 50 million taxpayers have yet to file.
If you’re unable to get everything in order before midnight, the IRS recommends filing for an extension.
That will prevent taxpayers from paying late penalties, but it won’t provide more time to pay taxes money that is owed.
