Child rescued from storm drain in Evansville

Evansville, Ind. (WEHT) – A five-year-old child has been rescued from a storm drain around 10:30 Thursday night. He is being checked out by first responders.

ORIGINAL STORY:

First responders are attempting to rescue a child reportedly stuck in a storm drain on the west side of Evansville.


This happened near the 1300 block of the Lloyd Expressway by One Life Church.
We’re told it was a three year old boy that fell into the storm drain.

It was called into dispatch around 9:20 Thursday night.
We’re told it’s a small storm drain so it’s hard to get down inside for a rescue. Some officers have been fitted into harnesses to go into the drain.
