Henderson County baseball coach will undergo kidney transplant this month

HENDERSON (WEHT) – A Henderson County baseball coach who’s in need of a kidney transplant will undergo surgery later this month.

Adam Hines said his surgery is scheduled for March 23. Hines was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease and is in need of a transplant. Evansville native David Gustafson, who now lives in Connecticut, came forward as a match. Gustafson says Hines’s mom, Carolyn, was one of his high school teachers.
