Police chase near Poseyville ends, driver charged with several offenses

POSEYVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A car chase that started in Ft. Branch on Highway 41 ended on Interstate 64 near Poseyville before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The driver, Joshua Reese, 39, of Wadesville, was taken into custody.

Police clocked Reese at 98 mph on Highway 41 near State Road 68. He accelerated and ignored a stop signal, police said. Reese hit stop sticks at Highway 41 and Warrington Road, turned on to I-64 heading west and hit another set of stop sticks at the 15-mile marker.

Reese them tried to exit at Poseyville and ran off into the grass, police said. A small amount of marijuana was found in Reese’s vehicle. He was charged with resisting law enforcement, reckless driving, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia.
