One person dead in Muhlenberg County wreck

GREENVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) – Kentucky State Police confirm one person is dead after crash on KY 176 in Muhlenberg County.

Troopers say they were called to the scene 3 miles East of Greenville on KY-176 around 12 p.m. Saturday.

KSP says a preliminary investigation indicated that a vehicle being driven by Mark Revlett of Drakesboro was traveling Eastbound on KY-176 when for an unknown reason his vehicle exited the left shoulder of the roadway. Revlett’s vehicle drove back onto the roadway where it collided head-on with another car driven by Thomas Morrison of Madisonville, KY.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital where Morrison succumbed to his injuries sustained from the collision. Trooper Jacob Stephens is investigating the collision reconstruction.

The fire department shut down State Route 176 to traffic near the old Muhlenberg County High School East Campus while KSP reconstruction crews worked the accident.
