Tri-State 6th Grader Takes on Spelling Champs from Across the U.S.

A Tri-State student is in the national spotlight.
6th grader Reese Perry from Washington Middle School is one of 14 students representing Indiana in the national spelling bee in Washington, D.C. this week. 

His father, Andy sent Eyewitness News photos from the spelling bee Memorial Day barbecue. 

The competition will be held on May 27th and 28th.

Reese goes up against 278 other students. 

We wish Reese the best of luck, and will keep you updated on how he does at the bee.
