BOONVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – A Tri-State woman battling cancer got a very special phone call Thursday.
When she answered her phone, on the other end of the line was her favorite singer — Reba McEntire.
Reba called Lisa Tapley to visit with her and to say a prayer with her.
Lisa, who lives in Boonville, is battling a form of brain cancer.
She’s undergone lots of treatments over the past year but recently stopped.
Lisa is a school bus driver for the Warrick County School System.
Her husband is a Princeton firefighter.
On Thursday, Lisa and her family got to talk to Reba about her upcoming concert at the Ford Center in Evansville and about a new television show that Reba is filming right now in Los Angeles. But, it’s how they ended their conversation that is so special — with Reba leading a prayer for Lisa.
