Trial Date Set for Evansville SWAT Raid Lawsuit

A trial date is set in a woman’s lawsuit against the Evansville Police Department in connection with a SWAT raid.

In June 2012, EPD’s SWAT team raided Louise Milan’s home and deployed flashbangs.

Officers were investigating a series of anonymous online threats to kill police officers and others.

The person behind those threats, Derrick Murray, was using Milan’s unsecured Wi-Fi network.

A trial date on Milan’s lawsuit is set for August 22.

Milan is seeking an unspecified amount of compensation and punitive damages.
