After several media outlets report Donald Trump had chosen Indiana Governor Mike Pence as his running mate Thursday, the presumptive GOP nominee confirms his VP pick.
On twitter Friday, Trump tweeted:
I am pleased to announce that I have chosen Governor Mike Pence as my Vice Presidential running mate. News conference tomorrow at 11:00 A.M.
Trump had originally planned to officially announce his running mate Friday in Manhattan, but canceled the announcement in light of the attack in Nice, France.
As for who might take Pence’s place on the ballot, media outlets report Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb, Rep. Susan Brooks, and Rep. Todd Rokita filed their candidacy Friday shortly after Pence withdrew from the race.
