On Monday, Mayor Steve Austin officially swore in Sanchez Williams and Dustin Davis as police officers with the Henderson Police Department.

Last Friday, Williams and Davis graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond, Kentucky.

Twenty-nine-year-old Sanchez Williams is a 2007 graduate of Newton High School in Mississippi.

Twenty-four-year-old Dustin Davis is a graduate of Triad High School in Illinois, and a graduate of Southwestern Illinois College, where he obtained a degree in Administration of Justice.

Both officers will begin a 12-week training program at Henderson Police Department, in which they will be paired up with a recruit training officer.
