University of Evansville grad Rami Malek has landed himself a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor for his work in the film “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
The nominations were announced Thursday morning and the winner will be announced in the big event about a month from now.
Malek stars as legendary singer Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody,” a biopic which follows the rise of rock band Queen.
The film is framed by Queen’s iconic set at 1985’s Live Aid concert.
Malek is a 2003 UE Theatre graduate.
He was nominated in 2016 2017 for Actor in a Drama Series for his role in “Mr. Robot.”
