Right now, United Steel Workers are voting on a modified contract offer from Century Aluminum.
Nearly 570 union members had faced a lockout starting Monday after overwhelmingly rejecting a new contract last week.
However, company officials with the Hawesville, Kentucky plant agreed to delay the lockout 24 hours pending a vote on the latest offer.
The modified offer address issues such as insurance and overtime.
Union members have until 8:30 p.m. Monday to cast their ballot.
