Update

A man has been arrested following a high-speed chase that ended in a field in Warrick County. Seth Nicholson has been taken into custody.

Indiana State Police and other law enforcement agencies searched for Nicholson in the area of Epworth Road between Telephone Road and Oak Grove Road for more than an hour.

Nicholson was captured near Telephone Road around 6:30 a.m., according to troopers.

ISP said the suspect ran from a black SUV just after 5:00 a.m.

Evansville Police said a high-speed chase began around 4:00 a.m. when officers were investigating a shots fired call on Frisse Avenue.

As they tried to pull over a the black SUV, police said it sped off.

Nicholson is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail on multiple charges.

A high-speed chase has ended in a field, leading to an active search in Warrick County Wednesday morning.

Indiana State Police report a suspect is now in custody.
