Federal authorities are investigating a suspicious death at a cemetery at Kentucky’s Mammoth Cave National Park.
The body of a white woman, believed to be in her 20’s, was discovered Monday morning.
The woman’s identity has not been released at this time.
The FBI and National Park Service are investigating.
They closed down the cemetery and surrounding area for hours on Monday, as they collected evidence.
The National Park says all cave tours and other park operations continued as usual.
“Nothing is being affected at this point. Tours are still operating in the Visitor’s Center and the park is still open. We just have staff out and we’re investigating what is going on.”
Investigators are awaiting the medical examiner’s report and test results before announcing the cause of death.
