HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Officials have identified the victim in a fatal motorcycle crash in Perry County on Tuesday night.

According to authorities, 40-year-old Ricky Payne, of Kentucky, was driving a motorcycle eastbound on Highway 66 when he drove left of center and ran off the roadway into a ditch and struck an embankment. The sheriff confirmed Payne’s identity to Eyewitness News on Wednesday.

A toxicology report from the coroner’s office is still pending.
