Update: U.S. 60 reopens after gas leak

U.S. 60 has reopened after a gas line leak in Daviess County.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says crews were able to isolate the gas line and find the leak quicker than expected.

U.S. 60 was blocked just west of the Owensboro near Rudy Road between Owensboro and Stanley  for about an hour.

The gas line leak happened along U.S. 60 near the intersection of Covington Ridge Drive.

The gas line leak is along U.S. 60 near the intersection with Covington Ridge Drive.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it will take about three hours to repair the four-inch gas line.

Drivers traveling between Owensboro and Henderson are asked to take the Audubon Parkway.
