Daviess County officials said the injuries were not life threatening, and all members of the USI softball team who were hospitalized were back home as of Sunday.
Below is a statement from Jon Mark Hall, USI Director of Athletics:
“We are pleased to report that all seven individuals from the USI Softball program who were transported to the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital have been released from the hospital and are home recovering. Everyone associated with the USI Softball program would like to thank the first responders, citizens that stopped to assist and all the healthcare workers at the hospital.
