University of Southern Indiana is celebrating 50 years of existence. And in order to honor the university’s past, they are displaying it for all to see.
The 50th anniversary timeline is a permanent, wall-mounted collage of the last five decades. The exhibit starts from the beginning as Indiana State University-Evansville in 1965 through 2015.
Dr. Linda Bennett, President of USI, says this is a great way to understand the development of the university.
“It’s the combined effect now that it’s a finished exhibit,” said Dr. Bennett. “That just takes your breath away. I’m so thrilled to see this, and I certainly hope that our students, our faculty, our staff, enjoy this as much as I do. I love thinking about and remembering all the people who made this such a special university.”
A committee picked apart the past to find the important events. Signarama in Evansville made the larger than life display.
The exhibit now hangs in the hallway of Forum I Building on campus.
