A Vanderburgh County Confinement Officer has been arrested.
He is accused of dealing in a controlled substance and trafficking with an inmate.
According to the Sheriff’s office, Trent Nolan was providing tobacco to work release participants.
Deputies also say Nolan had also agreed to meet one of the participants in order to sell the prescription medication Ritalin.
When deputies learned of the plan, they say they set up a controlled buy, which went down Monday night.
Nolan was arrested, and fired a short time later.
He now faces several charges, and is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail.
