A possible proposal to renovate the office of the Vanderburgh County Commission is being met with a mixed reaction by some of the county council.
Some county councilmembers, including Joe Kiefer, are skeptical of a possible plan pushed by some on the county commission.
That plan, Kiefer says, could include renovating and possibly combining the county council and city commission offices—both of which are on the 3rd floor.
No details about the project have been released.
Kiefer says he’s not only concerned about the possible cost, but also the optics.
Being the fiscal body of the county government, the council would have the ultimate say in whether any project is funded.
Eyewitness News called the building authority for details on these plans, but our calls were not returned.
