In Vanderburgh County, residents along Browning Road were cleaning up Tuesday evening.
Power poles on one stretch of Browning were snapped like sticks and transformers were damaged.
Vectren crews and their contracted help were out in force trying to restore power.
Homeowner Michael Pittman said he could tell the storms would be trouble by how much the trees were bending.
“I knew I better duck in the house and as soon as I got in the house, the power went off and I looked out the window and the tree was down and sparks were flying pass my window. And that’s when I knew it was pretty bad,” said Pittman.
Pittman said he was glad the storm was short-lived.
