WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Warrick County Animal Control says it has the names of the people caught on camera leaving a dog at its facility.

And now Warrick officials are stressing why it’s illegal after the video went viral on Facebook.

Owners wanting to surrender animals should do so when animal control is open or make after hours arrangements.

Animal control will also pick up strays free of charge.

Animal abandonment is a class c misdemeanor under Indiana law.

Warrick County Animal Shelter says it has the names and locations of the people who illegally dumped this dog at their facility.

Earlier this week, we reported that two people illegally dumped a dog at the Warrick County Animal Control facility.
