What happens if someone doesn’t claim the Half Pot?

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Fall Festival Half Pot has everyone talking on West Franklin Street.

The total is now soaring above

Somebody’s number will be called, but what if they don’t claim it?
The winner has 30 days to come forward and gets to take home half the total.

The other half goes to the nut club to keep funding community programs.
If no one claims the cash, nut club officials say all the money will be distributed to the community.

“Of course, it’d be nice if somebody does win, but it shows the support the community has for not only the Nut Club but the festival, and in turn the community as well.”

Half pot tickets will stop being sold on Saturday, Oct. 12th at 2 p.m.

Nut clubbers are building a bigger barrel to hold all the tickets.

The drawing happens on the main stage after the parade.
