A Kentucky woman is facing numerous charges after trying to cash a fake payroll check.
Jennifer Reed, 37, was arrested Tuesday after she tried to cash a fake payroll check at an IGA grocery store on Morgan Ave.
A search by police uncovered 26 fake payroll checks Reed had totaling almost $12,000 for six different people along with fake ID’s with five different names.
Reed faces charges of check fraud, identity deception, and battery charges.
Officers say she admitted to cashing the checks for her drug dealer who let her keep half of the money so she could buy heroin.
