ATLANTA, Ga. (WEHT) — The Center for Disease Control confirms three new cases of Coronavirus in the U.S., bringing the total number in the country to five.

Two of the patients are in California and one is in Arizona.

The two previously confirmed cases are in Illinois and Washington State.

Health officials say all five patients had recently traveled to Wuhan, China, the epicenter for the virus.

About 100 people are being tested for the virus in the U.S., but most tests results have been negative.

Worldwide, about 80 people are dead due to the virus.

Wuhan, China remains under lockdown.

The president of China calling it a “grave situation” with 2000 patients needing treatment as the disease continues to spread to more than a dozen countries and territories.
