You Can Help Fund Local Homeless Programs

News
City of Evansville

The public can now help support local homeless-service agencies that  have lost $162,000 in HUD funding.

You can donate online at the Vanderburgh Community Foundation website to help Aurora, the YWCA and Goodwill Family Center.

The Commission on Homelessness is working with Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke on the project.
Mayor Winnecke called on the community to get behind the effort to help these agencies keep their programs in place for the remainder of 2016 while the community seeks long-term replacement funding

Anyone who would prefer to donate by personal check should make the check payable to Vanderburgh Community Foundation, noting the word “homeless” in the memo line, and mail it to:

Vanderburgh Community Foundation, 401 SE 6th Street, Evansville, IN 47708
