(WEHT) – Following Indiana State Rep. Ron Bacon’s (R-Chandler) announcement that he would not be seeking re-election this year, at least two candidates have stepped forward to run for his seat.

Local attorney Rick Martin, a Republican, announced Tuesday that he will run for the seat.

In November, Democrat John Hurley announced that he would be running again.

Hurley, an educator, previously ran for state representative in 2018.
