(WEHT)- A day after only winning one Super Tuesday primary, billionaire former New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg is ending his bid for the White House.

In a statement, Bloomberg endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden. Bloomberg entered the race in late November and spent hundreds of millions of dollars from his own personal wealth on the race.

The news comes just days after former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar also ended their presidential bids and endorsed Biden.

Bloomberg sat out the early voting states like Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina but won only one Super Tuesday primary, taking nearly 50 percent of the vote in American Samoa.
