TELL CITY, Ind. (WEHT) – The race for Tell City Mayor is not over yet.

Incumbent Republican Jim Adams filed papers with the state to ask for a recanvass of votes.

Election night totals show Adams losing to Democrat Chris Cail by just two votes.

Adams is no stranger to close races, winning the mayor’s office in 2015 by just 16 votes.

A date for the recanvass has not been set, but Adams’ lawyer Ted Knolling said it must be done before December 20.
