Aces fall to 0-3 in MVC with home loss to Bradley

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Aces are in a serious funk. A season that began with optimism and excitement is now in jeopardy after a 20 point home loss to Bradley.

The Braves handed Evansville it’s third straight loss, beating the Aces 72-52.

UE is now 0-3 in MVC play and has not won a game since head coach Walter McCarty was placed on administrative leave on December 27th.

“Well our guys understand that nobody is feeling sorry for us. We have to continue to work and continue to get better. And that’s what we will do. To get out of a funk it has to start within yourself. You can’t let small things bother you. Missing a shot shouldn’t bother you and shouldn’t translate to how hard you play defense.

“We get too down on ourselves and it just affects our whole game and defensively. As a team, we don’t want to do anything. we have to change. We can score as games show prior, we average 80 points a game, we people to come in and play defense.”

“We are just playing catch up the whole entire game, which is not a good way to continue the game. We need to come out strong, we need to get stops and we need to get up and keep the energy going from there.”

Aces play at Loyola Chicago this Saturday.
