Barges installed at Victoria National

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – Workers installed a new floating hospitality space at the the Victoria National golf course in Newburgh.

The structure will sit alongside the 18th green. This is all in preparation of the 2019 Korn Ferry Tour Championship taking place from August 30th through September 2nd.

Laureen Cates, tournament director, says this feels great to wrap up such a big project.

“Our team has been working on the tournament since last fall so it’s really fun to see it all come together with the build and like what we’re doing today with the docks, you do all of that planning and the pre-prep for it and then to actually be out here on sight as the structures are going up and things are going into place is really exciting. We’ve really kind of outgrown this space around the 18th green this year, and so we had to consider how do we go from here and so being able to move onto the water kind of made sense. “

The Korn Ferry Tour Championship takes place on Labor Day weekend at Victoria National.
