Big expectations for Bosse as new season begins

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) We start our visits to teams in the SIAC with one of the teams expected to be one of the best in the conference and the state, the Bosse Bulldogs.

As usual, Shane Burkhart’s team has lofty goals this year. Bosse will begin the season ranked 6th in class 3A, and for good reason.

They have one of the best big men in the state in senior Kiyron Powell.

The Bulldogs were knocked out of sectionals last year by Memorial. Burhart says deep playoff runs are expected at Bosse.

“Our expectations are the same and have been the same for the last 10 years. We want to make state every year. That is the expectation and if we are not there we don’t consider it a positive season. There are a lot of positives that can come out of things but if we don’t have the chance to put on a ring we are not excited about how everything transpired. With KP and his supporting staff this year we have the opportunity to really make a deep run.”

Bosse opens the season hosting Terre Haute South.
