Castle volleyball eyes another successful year

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – Castle volleyball has dominated their sectional for over two decades.

The Lady Knights have won the sectional championship 25 years in a row. Castle looks to be another favorite to win the sectional again.

Head coach, Daniel Watson, expects another very good season.

“I think that’s Castle, that’s the tradition, we want to expect to compete at a high level. What people don’t really get is how hard these kids really work. Yes they are talented, but talent only gets you so far.”

Senior, Jayden Roach, explains that even though the Knights have lost one of their key pieces, she thinks Castle will still be top notch.

“A lot of people think we are going to have a different dynamic without Jessica (Nunge) but I think we are going to bring out our team work. We are really working hard together and communicating a lot and focusing day by day to get better as a team.”

Castle will be at Harrison on Friday night.
