Evansville Christian prepares for first ever home game

Evansville Christian School prepares for its first ever home game on Friday night. It’s the first year of basketball for Evansville Christian.

The team has just eight players and just one coach, Aaron Thompson, who is at the helm. There are no assistants or managers for the Eagles.

Thompson explains it is not about the wins or losses, it is about laying the foundation for the future.

“it’s been an unbelievable experience. It’s an honor to have this opportunity to be with the kids. I couldn’t ask for a better group of kids, they are all great kids, they respect the game, they respect what we are trying to do. It’s a learning process for them.”

Evansville Christian hosts Cannelton on Friday Night.
