Evansville swimmers compete at city meet

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Evansville swimmers competed at the city swim meet on Saturday.

Hundreds of swimmers went into the competition. There were various age groups on display. Swimmers as young as four and as old as seventy years old participated.

Swim meet director, Jeremy Wolfe, explains this race day energy fuels the swimmers.

“You just look around and you see the amount of families here, the amount of people, to spend the day with their kids, you have all the tents popped up
you have probably a couple of thousand people watching these kids swim up and down the pool and it’s just a great atmosphere for everybody.”

More swimming will take place on Sunday.
