EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Finishing strong may mean a little bit more to Harrison’s JROTC cadets than other groups.
The Warriors won their first state championship in program history. Harrison qualified for nationals too but could not compete due to the coronavirus.
Senior army instructor, Jeffrey Lee, explain’s he’s proud to see what they were able to do together.
“I was really excited because of all the hardwork that they do, just like a surrogate parent, so to speak. you know they worked hard, and accomplished so much in so little time.”
Harrison had plans to visit the White House as well but those plans were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
