Harrison grad, Calbert Cheaney, enshrined into National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame


KANSAS CITY, Mo (WEHT) – Harrison grad, Calbert Cheaney, was enshrined in the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame on Sunday.

The former Hoosier, had a terrific career, and is currently listed as the Big Ten’s all time leading scorer with 2,613 points. The three-time all american lead IU to four NCAA tournament appearances, two Big Ten titles and the 1992 Final Four.

Cheaney was selected number 6 overall by the Washington Bullets. He played professionally for 13 seasons on five different teams (1993-2006).
