EVANSVILLE, Ind. – (WEHT) High school football season is right around the corner, and today the players and coaches got a chance to share their excitement at High School Football Media Day.
“I think this is neat for Southern Indiana because it gives the players that media day thing that you see with the SEC and the Big Ten,” said Boonville head coach Darin Ward.
Players and coaches from local teams took to the stage to chat about the upcoming season.
“I think it’s a big deal for all the kids, for all the sponsors, like I said we don’t get a lot of this in Tell City so it’s really nice and shows how important football is in this area,” said Tell City head coach Aaron Clements.
The event was held at and catered by The Baurhaus. This is the second annual High School Football Media Day in the tri-state.
High school football season and a new season of Home Team Friday on Eyewitness News begins on August 23rd.
