EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) Hi everyone. Jeff Bes here with your Thunderbolts to talk about icing. Icing is when the puck possession team sends the puck all the way down the ice from behind their red line, past the other team’s goal line without anyone touching it. So when a team commits icing, the face-off will come all the way down to the defending team’s own zone and the team will not be allowed to change their line. So the only time you can send the puck all the way down the ice is when the other team is on the power play. And that’s your Hockey 101.
