HTF Two-A-Days: Castle

Sports

PARADISE, Ind. – (WEHT) After a season that took the Knights all the way to regionals, Castle enters the new season ready to build on that momentum.

“I think by and large our kids are doing a great job. They’re working hard, the buy in is there, but certainly a critical eye when you watch the film and see some of the things that have happened over the last few weeks because you’re always looking to improve,” said head coach Doug Hurt. “We’re cautiously optimistic, but I think we’re headed in the right direction.”

Doug Hurt’s squad lost a handful of guys to graduation, but returns a significant number of skill players to this year’s team.

The Knights say they hope to rise to the challenge this season, with their eyes on a conference title.

“We have a lot of work to do, but we know that we have it in us and can do great things this year,” said senior Nathan Harpenau. “We’re ready to get back and get more. We’ve been working hard, and we’ve just got to continue to do that.”

Castle will begin the 2019 regular season on August 23rd against Bloomington South.
