FORT BRANCH, Ind. – (WEHT) The Titans enter 2019 as one of the most anticipated teams this season. Led by quarterback phenom Brady Allen, Gibson Southern is expected to be one of the best teams in the tri-state this fall, but Nick Hart says that success won’t come with lots of hard work.
“I think we do have a very talented team, we’ve got to get some depth in some more places, but when you return a lot of guys that have had a lot of success obviously the expectations are high, and they’re always high here,” said head coach Nick Hart. “We’ve got a chance to do some special things, but there’s a lot of work to be done before that can happen. It’s a very hungry group, they know how to work to get what they want to achieve.”
Gibson Southern went 9-3 last season before falling to Memorial in sectional play, a hump the Titans say they hope to get over this season.
“We finished on a pretty good note last year, and we feel like we can do better. We want to raise the bar and keep growing as a team and keep getting better,” said quarterback Brady Allen. “We’ve had teams go far, and we still haven’t gotten over the hump yet so that’s our goal for this year”
The Titans kick off the season against Forest Park.
