HTF Two-A-Days: Heritage Hills

Sports

LINCOLN CITY, Ind. – (WEHT) After a fantastic season last year, Heritage Hills is ready to build on that success as they enter the 2019 season.

The Patriots went undefeated in last year’s regular season, outscoring opponents by an average of 40.8 points per game. After falling to Gibson Southern in sectional play, the Patriots enter this season hungry for more.

“Going undefeated in the regular season was awesome but obviously getting beat in the Sectional, we were out sooner than we wanted to be. Our goal is to build on last year, keep getting better,” said head coach Todd Wilkerson. “We know we’ve got some great competition, in our Sectional and in our conference, but we feel good about where we are.”

Heritage Hills returns a handful of starters from last year’s team, including quarterback Cole Sigler.

“I think it’s a good vibe among everyone, we know what we’re out here to accomplish. We have our goals. I think we’re all excited to get back out here and just get back at it,” said senior Cole Sigler.

Heritage Hills begins the season on August 23rd against Mount Vernon.
