JASPER, Ind. – (WEHT) There’s a lot of new happening at Jasper this season, starting with new head coach Tony Lewis at the helm. The Wildcats will run a new-look offense under Lewis, the former Reitz and Henderson County head coach.

“It’s a lot different, but it’s really exciting to see what he brings to the table,” said senior Ethan Lents. “We know we have great potential on this team.”

Lewis, who lead Reitz to the 4A State title in 2009, says he’s excited to join the Wildcats program and hopes to continue the winning tradition. “We’ve got good kids that work hard. They’re smart, and they listen. That’s a great starting point,” said Lewis. “Every time we step on the field we’re gonna expect to win the game.”

Jasper will kick off the season on August 23rd against Memorial.
