HTF Two-A-Days: Mount Vernon

Sports

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – (WEHT) Mount Vernon has been steadily climbing upwards under head coach Corey Brunson.

In his third season, Brunson and the Wildcats aim for even more success.

“It’s definitely encouraging, and you see the kids’ enthusiasm, the community is excited. The potential is there to go to do well and to compete,” said Brunson.

The players say they can feel a difference in the mindset of the team and the community support as they enter 2019.

“Last year we had more fans than we’ve seen in a long time, and that’s just so much fun to win for them. We’ve definitely changed the atmosphere here at Mount Vernon,” said quarterback Rhett Snodgrass. “Our team has some great potential and as long as we work together we could do some great things here.”

The Wildcats kick off the season against Heritage Hills.
